Nike Basketball and SLAM Magazine are once again joining forces, unveiling one of the most compelling basketball footwear collaborations of the year. The SLAM x Nike Basketball Collection is set to arrive in Fall 2026, bringing together four distinct silhouettes that celebrate the culture of basketball through the lens of one of the sport’s most influential publications.
The capsule features the Nike GT Cut 4, Nike Ja 4, Nike Sabrina 4, and the returning Nike Zoom Hyperflight, each dressed in unique colorways and graphics inspired by SLAM Magazine’s unmistakable editorial style.
Unlike many collaborative collections that rely solely on co-branding, this pack embraces the visual language that has defined SLAM for more than three decades. Layered typography, torn magazine pages, halftone textures, and bold orange-and-black graphics transform each sneaker into what feels like a wearable magazine cover.
Nike Ja 4
Its upper is wrapped in an all-over collage of orange, black, and cream graphics that resemble torn pages from vintage SLAM issues. The busy print is balanced by a black inner bootie construction, while orange-and-black rope laces reinforce the magazine-inspired theme. A miniature black Swoosh near the forefoot keeps the branding subtle, allowing the artwork to remain the focal point.
Nike GT Cut 4
Nike takes a different approach with the GT Cut 4, opting for a mismatched presentation.
One shoe features a crisp white engineered upper while its counterpart is finished almost entirely in bright orange. Oversized Swooshes filled with editorial graphics, chrome midfoot support pieces, translucent icy-blue outsoles, and orange accents create a futuristic look that feels right at home within the GT Cut franchise.
The asymmetrical execution makes this one of the most visually dynamic shoes in the collection.
Nike Zoom Hyperflight
Perhaps the biggest surprise is the return of the Nike Zoom Hyperflight.
Originally introduced in the early 2000s, the futuristic basketball silhouette has become a cult favorite among longtime Nike Basketball fans. The SLAM edition preserves the shoe’s iconic molded shell construction while dressing it in glossy orange with gray accents, translucent outsoles, and prominent SLAM branding on the tongue.
Its inclusion bridges the gap between Nike Basketball’s past and present, making it a fitting addition to the collection.
Nike Sabrina 4
The Sabrina 4 rounds out the pack with what may be its most versatile colorway.
Instead of leaning heavily into orange, the upper combines teal, charcoal, black, and gray collage artwork inspired by magazine layouts. Orange rope laces, speckled midsoles, mint-colored outsoles, and subtle orange Swoosh detailing tie it back to the overall collection while allowing it to establish its own identity.
